About me
Hello, I’m an computer programmer from Nova Scotia. I graduated from Dalhousie University in 2020. Currently I'm developing my career in Toronto Ontario.
Proffesional Profile
After graduating, I went to toronto for my career. I was hired by a company. I am the only IT Tech employee there. I biuld their website and online shopping. Photoshoping products pictures and Video editing for social media are also part of my job. Some cool work that I have done is programming the management system. It's little bit challenging to do the whole system by myself. For more experiences and challenging, I will post in my blog.
The reason that I want to have a personal website is that I realize that university don't teach you enought to work. After graduating, you will realize that it is so hard to do anything. Keep learning is the only way to deal with this problem. Give you a simple example. University teached me html for biuld a webiste, but have you see any company that use ugly layout website? Mordern website are responsive website. It's fasion. Bring university knowlage to a bussiness level is a challenge.
In my personal website, I will share all my experience. I did waste a lot time by trying to find the right answers for problems but to be honest, most of the answer already out date or wrong. The reason I share my experience is to help friends find the right path. Let's learn together!!! Join our community.

Services
I personally helped a lot of small business as IT Consulting with very low price, because I believe that more practice is more valuable than just money. The services below are most popular stuffs that business need.
Web Design
I normally separate this part by two kinds. First one is some company that need an official landing page that describe their business. The other kind is e-commerce. I normally program html and upload on my server for the first kind. I prefer to do the second kind on Shopify because of a lot of reasons. I will write a blog for this section.
Email Setting
As a business, most of them have their own domain. It is more formal that the business has their own email address like info@name.com. some company asked me to create emails for every single employee in their company such as Victor.Zhang@TechCommunity.com. We need to take good care of DMARC, SPF Records, MX settings in DNS.
Digital Marketing
There is a lot thing that I helped small business for marketing. Setting up Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube channel, Google Console and Google business. Building beautiful email template for company so that their email looks better. SEO, SMO, and SEM are very important for a company, especially e-commerce.
Mobile Apps
There are two kinds of mobile apps. They are traditional Mobile app and Web app. Recently, more and more mobile apps prefer to choose web apps because it is convenient. React is what I use mostly for programming web apps. Sometimes I prefer local apps because of huge database. In that case I prefer using Java program it and use firebase as DB.
computer programming
Coding some useful program on windows or mac is really useful too. I have coded an auto translate tools for a company to one click combine data and get final results. It will save a lot labor for a company. I have also programmed some quiz and trainning system to keep company have standard and easy trainning flow. Most programs use Java and Mysql.
PS, AE, AI, ADC...
Most of my customers do not have someone take care of their pictures. Sometimes, I must take pictures and photoshop them. I probably already photoshop more than 10,000 Pictures. For making videos of marketing, I normally use AE. Creating a programmed PDF Forms are always asked too. I will show my products in my blog and share some key tips.
ERP or WMS System
This is the hardest project that I have succesfully done. I helped one company get the correct procedure. Coding and 100% customizing it to Odoo ERP system. Implementing it to the company within good time and budget. I am the project manager. I find the most difficiut part is dealing with the user who against to use the system.
Network setting
As we talked about that I implementing the ERP system. Internet is required but there is no internect connection in their warehouse. I have to get access point and cabling to make sure that all connections are secured and satable. We use Watchguard as our Access Point and TREnDnet as our switch.
Online server set up
Most of our website set up by online server (Ubuntu). Our ERP System have a back up local host for our server too. Our email system setted up on the other online server by using Ubuntu and Sogo. I also need to make sure the server secure and black listing bad behave IP address and regular maintainance.

This is a supply chain company for restaurant. After graduating, I come to this company. I work in the IT Department. I am the manager and the only IT support there. My assistants always help me upload products or change the product price and so on. I will only foce on the tech work. What this company changed after I join? They used to have a not well looking website. I rebiuld a new official website for them. I biuld a e-commerce website for them. They used to send email just by words and words, but right now it's html email. I create company email address for all employees such as yuzhang@luckysupply.ca. I redesign the whole ware house inventory management system. I write a time in and time out program for them. I will just list the rest becasue there are too much of it. They are Designing mobile app, dealing with their products pictures and videos, Auto robot reply message system, Logo design, digital marketing plan, PIA, Security System, Online Chat and so on......

Using free time like weekend or night time for my own business. The purpose of it is not mainly focus on money. It is because I want to have more experience for different type of business. What I do is that know my customers' business and analyze marketing. I will make plan for IT Support after analyzing. Here is an example. I helped a restaurant analyze their IT part. I figure out there are a lot place that need to change. for exmple like, website, apps, email, seo, smo, google support, Manu Design for TV, pictures and videos, cashing system, management system, ordering system, ipad manu and so on......

I was a part time worker because I was a full time student in the same time. I learned a lot there. Communicat with customers were a big challenge for me as a forigner, but I try hard on it. I learned how to deal with all different kinds of customers. Precticing my english is the main purpose I work there. Another good advantage for this experience is that I also learned a lot IT Tech Skills becasue it's a internect and mobile company. I learned how the server work and how the router works. It is a really good experience there. My superiser really like me. I miss them too!

This Section is about my education history. To Be Honest, I think self-learning is better than anything. In university, professor won't teach you everything. You have to end up self-learning. That is also part of skills that I got from University.

I graduated from Dalhousie Univeristy. Bachelor of computer science minor major math. In university, I like to join all kind of project or community. I did learn a lot knowlage from university but the most useful skill that university teahced me is self-learning. University let me konw thw basic knowlage and teach me how everything work, then I need to use criative mind to make it become a product that this society can acccept. A lot of university knowlage already old school or not user friendly. For example like web design, University won't tell you how to make your website looks morden and better. they will only teach you how to make it performace better. It is only words and button and links which is ugly. Based on those basic knowlage, you are able to self-learing now!!! That's what i appreciate most for my school. I love my University. My appreaciate.

Self learning is really important. After graduating, I mainly focus on working and self learning. I normally use Udemy as self-learning website. There are all kinds of courses that you can learn. I have self-learning more than 500 courses from this website. All those course, I got certificant. I learned PS, AE in Udemy. I also learned Hacking skills for cyber security and I leagelly test on my company site as a white hacker. Sometimes my customers will ask me to help them test their website or system, so that's part of skills that I feel really useful. I learn a lot new techs like react from udemy too. I think this is the way that I don't get old school anymore. I will always keep learing and share my experience with you guys. I also appreaciate someone like me. They helped me a lot by reading tehir artical. a lot problems solved by reading their commend even. That is also why I want to do this because it is good adn better for someone who nned help.

Yes, I have been leading my team for last 3 years to developing and implementing softwares. It requires team work and good leadership. Time management, Cost management and Risk management are the most important thing for being an project manager.
Sorry to say but I do love my previous job. I learned a lot from last work. I have done so much work for making a small company to middle and formal company with their own ERP, WMS, Email, Website, Mobile App and so so so much more. I want to leave last job to a different company to experiecing different kind of company structures. More experience to facing and dealing with more cases. I do still be consulting by my last company and I have trained and set up someone else to do the rest easy maintainance type of work. I will always provide help and support whenever old company needs.
